Glass Absorber Systems

Absorption is a thermal separation operation in which a selective liquid (scrubbing liquid, absorbing agent) absorbs a component (absorbed substance) of a gas mixture. Gas absorbers are used to remove contaminants from gas streams, such as gas from an exhaust.

A Glass absorber uses a column often containing random or structured packing material. Packed bed absorbers utilize gas and liquid streams which flow countercurrent to each other.
